With our Nurturing the Future National Lottery Community funded project (Sept 2020-Aug 2023) we aim to reach out to young people of North Pembrokeshire between 11-25 yrs to offer quality, seamless mental health support from a large range of different platforms and partner organisations; benefiting young people, front-line workers, volunteers, groups and parents in the community.
Young people can continue to access our drop in sessions which all have a focus on emotional and physical health and well-being. Young people can also now access 1:1 counselling at our building from a trained counsellor with many years of experience working with children and young people. Our mentoring service offers befriending to young people from older members of the community who have been trained as mentors. We also have opportunities for young people to access our “Mind Matters” group support that focuses on resilience building and support for low level mental health issues such as self harm, low mood, anxiety. Training in youth mental health first aid is on offer to frontline workers, volunteers, individuals and groups within the North Pembs community.
