Further funding means even more support for young people

POINT Youth Centre have been awarded funding from the Principality’s ‘Future Generations Fund’. The fund is being used to offer further counselling provision to young people aged 11 – 25 across North Pembrokeshire.

In partnership with Cardigan based charity, Area 43, POINT hope to provide professional counselling services to at least an additional 15 young people this project year. This means we now have a male and female led counselling provision, offering more scope to widen our service reach to young people.

Jessica Palmer, Wellbeing Services Manager remarked “This is a significant and much needed additional service and hugely compliments our existing National Lottery Community Funded counselling service which supported 46 young people in this recent project year. We are confident that there is such a need for this service locally, as we continue to receive referrals directly from young people, their GP’s, parents and other support agencies.”
