Part time Finance/Administration Officer

We seek an individual to fill the following job vacancy funded via the National Lottery Community Fund :

Finance/ Administrative Officer 21 hours per week £12,046 per annum Fixed Term Contract until August 2023

To maintain an efficient, well run office and provide administrative and financial support to the general manager and the Board of Trustees.   The Finance Officer contributes to the sound management of the youth centre in accounts, administration and financial reporting Applicants must apply with a CV and a covering letter that addresses the person specification by Monday 20th July 2020 at 12pm.  Interviews will take place on Wednesday 29th July 2020

JOB SPECIFICATION:

TITLE:                              Finance/admin officer

SALARY:                          £21,224.16 per annum pro rata

HOURS:                           21 hours per week

RESPONSIBLE TO:          General manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To maintain an efficient, well run office and provide administrative and financial support to the general manager and the Board of Trustees.   The Finance Officer contributes to the sound management of the youth centre in accounts, administration and financial reporting

Qualifications
-A reasonable standard of Maths and English


-Qualification in
Accountancy AAT2 or
equivalent
Skills
At least 2 years’ experience of working in finance environmen
-Experience in a charity finance management environment
-Good communication skills verbal and writtenAbility to speak We;sh
-Numeracy, accuracy and a methodical approach towards work
-Keyboard skills and a working knowledge of spreadsheets and other
tools used for analysis of financial data
-Ability to optimise new technologies effectively e.g digital storage, project management information systems
Ability to work on own initiative to tight deadlines
Knowledge
-Budgeting principles
-Knowledge of accountancy systems e.g Quickbooks, Sage, Xero
