Training for adults in the community

Youth Mental Health First Aid

The Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) course teaches adults how to provide Mental Health First Aid to young people.

Mental illnesses often start in adolescence or early adulthood and it is important to detect problems early to ensure a young person is properly treated and supported. The YMHFA (Wales) course teaches adults who might have frequent contact with adolescents, (such as parents, guardians, school staff, sport coaches, youth workers, volunteers and club leaders) how to assist adolescents who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of a mental health problem or who are in a mental health crisis.

POINT’s trained YMHFA Instructors are offering classroom delivery of this licensed course over 2 consecutive days at venues across Pembrokeshire. We can offer in-house courses too if you would like us to visit your organisation. The course can also be offered online via self directed learning modules & includes 2 informative & interactive Webinars facilitated by our trained YMHFA Instructors.

We are able to offer this training at a very reasonable rate to individuals, organisations and charitable & public bodies. Our price per participant is £125 with some group bookings and other concessions considered.
