Informal education is a big part of POINT and Youth Work and we are please to be able to offer accredited and certificated awards to our young people.
Throughout the year we run ASDAN awards which are flexible and engaging programmes and qualifications that help young people develop skills for learning, work and life. The ASDANS range from 10-30 hour certificates with the most popular being, Football, Foodwise and Gardening.
We also run John Muir Awards twice a year which encourages young people to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places. The Award consists of 4 aspects, Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share.
Typically the award takes place over 4 days, sometimes including a residential and at the end the young people receive a John Muir Award Certificate.
