John Muir and AGOREDS

Informal education is a big part of POINT and Youth Work and we are please to be able to offer accredited and certificated awards to our young people.

Throughout the year we run AGORED awards which are flexible and engaging programmes and qualifications that help young people develop skills for learning, work and life. The AGOREDS range from Pre Entry – Level 1 certificates with the most popular being, Football, Cooking and Gardening.

We also run John Muir Awards which encourages young people to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places. The Award consists of 4 aspects, Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share.

Typically the award takes place over 4 days, sometimes including a residential and at the end the young people receive a John Muir Award Certificate.

Point Drop In

POINT provides a safe and welcoming place for all young people. We aim to make the transition from childhood to adulthood for young people as seamless and stress free as possible, with youth workers always on hand to offer advice, guidance and just be there for the young people to talk to. Youth work is a very powerful thing which means so much to our young people.
